You can call me “John”

Hometown: NESQUEHONING, PENNSYLVANIA

Currently living in: LANCASTER, PENNSYLVANIA

This is me as I crossed the finish line of the Philadelphia Marathon - it was about 30 degrees that day with 25mph winds, and I was so happy to even finish. I ran it for my 30th birthday, and I think it’ll take another 30 years until I run another one.

My happy place has always been the beach. I lived in Lewes, Delaware for a bit during COVID and try to make it back a few times a year.

This is me at the top of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. This was an all-day, 15-plus mile hike with 4,800 feet in elevation gain to some of the most majestic views on earth. I’m still no sure how I made it, but I’m thankful for my brother and brother-in-law for their moral support along the way.

Here’s my favorite movie

Step Brothers

When I’m not working…

you can find me running, biking, taking a walk, or out by the pool enjoying the sunshine in the summer. I enjoy spending time with my family - including rock climbing with my siblings, visiting my parents, and being an aspiring stand up comedian to my aunts, uncles and cousins. I also have quite the sweet tooth and frequent the local ice cream shops in Lancaster.

Best piece of financial advice I’ve ever received is…

“Save early and save often. From the passbook savings account, I had as a kid, the savings bonds my parents got for me as a baby, and the Roth IRA that opened in high school - all of these things are crucially important and have helped me on my financial journey. The point was driven home by Nick Murray in his book Simple Wealth, Inevitable Wealth - which helped further inspire and inform my savings habits and investment strategy over time.”
